- • Join OPENLANE, a leading technology company revolutionizing the used vehicle wholesale market through an advanced digital marketplace. We are driven by innovation, data-driven insights, and a commitment to making wholesale processes easy and successful for our customers.
- • As an Arbitration Specialist, you will play a crucial role within the Arbitration Support team, ensuring fairness and efficiency in resolving buyer-seller disputes. This remote position offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in automotive mechanics, customer service, and procedural fairness to maintain a balanced and trustworthy marketplace.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously investigate and resolve customer arbitration claims. This involves a deep dive into each case, requiring you to act as an impartial mediator between buyers and sellers.
- • You will be instrumental in reviewing complex arbitration cases, analyzing customer concerns, and identifying fair and equitable solutions. This requires a keen analytical mind and the ability to understand intricate details of vehicle conditions and transaction histories.
- • A significant part of your role will involve verifying the accuracy of vehicle condition data. This includes scrutinizing inspection reports, comparing them against customer descriptions, and clarifying any discrepancies related to mechanical issues, cosmetic flaws, title problems, or general vehicle concerns.
- • You will actively listen to customer feedback, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to understanding their perspective. This attentive listening is key to gathering all necessary information for a thorough investigation.
- • Effective communication is paramount. You will be responsible for clearly and concisely communicating case details, findings, and resolutions to all involved stakeholders, including customers and internal teams. Ensuring all parties are well-informed and understand the process is vital for maintaining trust.
- • You will mediate disputes, negotiating repairs, adjustments, or pricing modifications to reach mutually agreeable outcomes. The goal is to achieve customer satisfaction, foster buyer retention, and uphold the integrity of the OPENLANE marketplace.

- • You will maintain proactive and consistent communication with customers throughout the arbitration process, ensuring they are updated on progress and that the quality of the resolutions meets their expectations.
- • Collaboration is key. You will work closely with inspection teams and quality control departments to provide valuable feedback on vehicle assessments and to effectively manage policy adherence and goodwill loss.
- • By utilizing analytics, you will contribute to identifying trends in arbitration cases and pinpointing opportunities for enhancing the overall customer experience and improving team productivity. Your insights will help shape future processes and policies.
- • This role requires adherence to company policies and applicable laws, ensuring that all resolutions are legally sound and ethically managed.
- • You will be part of a dynamic team, reporting to the Sr. Arbitration Manager, and will collaborate regularly with customers, inspection personnel, and quality control specialists.
- • The ideal candidate possesses a strong customer focus, an analytical approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication skills, all while maintaining a positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork. You will be empowered to make informed decisions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our arbitration processes.
