• • As an Assistant General Counsel - Litigation, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Kraken s global operations by leading and managing our extensive civil litigation portfolio. This senior position offers a unique opportunity to provide strategic oversight and expert guidance across a wide spectrum of high-stakes legal matters, including commercial disputes, consumer class actions, employment litigation, intellectual property challenges, and securities-related cases.
• • Reporting directly to Kraken s Deputy General Counsel and Head of Litigation, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our global litigation strategy. This involves close collaboration with executive leadership, cross-functional teams such as Product Legal, Compliance, Employment Legal, and Security, as well as external legal counsel.
• • Your primary responsibilities will include directing outside counsel in both the U.S. and internationally. This entails setting clear strategic objectives, establishing rigorous budget expectations, and implementing robust quality control measures for all significant litigation matters. You will be the central point of contact, ensuring that our legal defense is not only effective but also cost-efficient and aligned with Kraken s overarching business goals.
• • A key aspect of this role is the management of complex and often sensitive dispute categories. This includes, but is not limited to, defending against consumer class actions, resolving intricate commercial disputes, handling employment-related litigation, addressing intellectual property threats, and managing international regulatory appeals. Your ability to navigate these diverse legal landscapes with precision and foresight will be critical to Kraken s success.
• • You will be tasked with developing and executing sophisticated cross-border litigation strategies.
