- • Own the day-to-day voice of the Ad Council brand across all social channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and emerging platforms), translating complex social-impact stories into scroll-stopping, thumb-stopping content that educates and inspires both B2B and B2C audiences.
- • Craft and execute integrated communications strategies that amplify our national campaigns—ranging from mental-health awareness to workforce equity—ensuring every message ladders up to measurable objectives such as reach, engagement, earned media value and behavior change.
- • Serve as the in-house project manager for cross-functional campaign teams, coordinating timelines, creative assets, influencer partnerships, media outreach calendars and paid-social boosts so that every launch lands on time, on budget and on message.
- • Write and edit high-impact copy for press releases, op-eds, executive LinkedIn posts, media talking points, social captions, newsletters and keynote decks, maintaining the Ad Council’s warm, authoritative and inclusive tone while tailoring language to each stakeholder group.
- • Pitch and secure thought-leadership opportunities for senior executives, including podcast guest spots, conference panels, broadcast interviews and bylined articles, then ghost-write or coach the speaker to deliver memorable, data-driven narratives.
- • Monitor real-time social listening dashboards and PR analytics to surface cultural moments, misinformation spikes or partnership opportunities, turning insights into rapid-response content that keeps the brand culturally relevant and trusted.
- • Manage agency partners, freelance creatives and influencer networks—drafting briefs, negotiating scopes, tracking deliverables and ensuring DEI best practices are embedded in every collaboration.
- • Oversee the Ad Council’s owned-media channels (blog, email, YouTube, podcast) by developing editorial calendars, commissioning multimedia assets and optimizing SEO to grow organic traffic and subscriber bases.
- • Build and nurture relationships with journalists, trade editors and social platform reps, maintaining an always-updated media list and hosting quarterly virtual briefings to showcase new campaign launches.
- • Champion accessibility and inclusive storytelling—adding alt-text, captions, plain-language summaries and culturally competent framing so that every piece of content can be enjoyed and understood by all Americans.
- • Track KPIs weekly, monthly and quarterly, translating data into concise, actionable reports for senior leadership and external funders, then A/B testing creative variants to continuously improve performance.
- • Contribute to the evolution of the Ad Council’s brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across 30+ concurrent campaigns while still allowing each cause to retain its unique personality and audience.
- • Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes, paid-social bidding strategies, creator-economy trends and crisis-communication protocols, sharing bite-size learnings in internal Lunch-and-Learn sessions.
- • Mentor interns and junior associates, providing constructive feedback on writing, design and strategic thinking to cultivate the next generation of purpose-driven communicators.
- • Represent the Ad Council at industry events, Twitter Spaces and nonprofit coalitions, embodying our mission to open hearts, inspire action and accelerate change.
