- • You will teach DNP courses, mentor doctoral students through dissertation and capstone processes, contribute to curriculum development, and engage in school governance—all while maintaining active professional practice and scholarship to ensure your teaching remains current, relevant, and transformative for diverse learners.
- • You will join a mission-driven, remote-first faculty team at Capella University (a subsidiary of Strategic Education, Inc.) that values innovation, equity, and excellence in nursing education, where your expertise will directly influence program quality, student success, and institutional advancement.

- • Curriculum and Course Development – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and refine DNP courses and materials; ensure content reflects current nursing practice, integrates diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, and aligns with program outcomes, competencies, and authentic assessment tools.
- • School and University Governance – Actively participate in faculty committees, governance bodies, and university initiatives; contribute strategic perspectives to advance institutional goals, mentor peers, and model leadership through service on accreditation, curriculum, and student success-focused teams.
- • Professional Service and Practice – Apply your nursing expertise to benefit communities and the profession through volunteer work, conference presentations, organizational leadership, and practice-based initiatives that extend Capella’s mission beyond the classroom and strengthen its public reputation.
- • Research and Scholarship – Maintain an active research agenda focused on innovative teaching methods, student success, and nursing education; disseminate findings through presentations, publications, and conference attendance; pursue continuing education and credentials to remain at the forefront of the discipline.
- • Leadership through Team Engagement – Step into essential roles as needed—such as facilitating faculty orientations, leading webinars, supporting problem resolution, or contributing to special projects—demonstrating adaptability, initiative, and a commitment to collective success in a dynamic academic environment.
