- • As an Associate Counsel at SentiLink Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company’s rapid growth by managing high-volume commercial legal workflows that directly enable secure, scalable identity verification solutions trusted by financial institutions and innovators nationwide. Your work will ensure that SentiLink can continue to innovate in identity and risk mitigation while maintaining rigorous legal and regulatory compliance, making you a key enabler of the company’s mission to replace outdated systems with smarter, faster, and more accurate technology.
- • You will be based in the Austin office and serve as a trusted legal advisor to cross-functional teams, helping to de-risk product launches, streamline procurement, and strengthen data licensing agreements—all while leveraging AI and modern legal tech to increase efficiency and scalability in a fast-moving fintech environment.
- • Day to day, you will:
- • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a high volume of commercial agreements, including NDAs, evaluation agreements, procurement contracts, and data licenses, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk tolerance.
- • Support internal stakeholders in Product, GTM, Tech, and Operations on routine legal questions related to product features, regulatory compliance, and commercial terms, providing clear, practical guidance and escalating complex issues appropriately.
- • Develop and refine legal templates, playbooks, and workflows to increase consistency, reduce turnaround time, and build institutional knowledge across the legal and broader teams.
- • Integrate AI and other technology tools into contracting processes to automate routine tasks, improve accuracy, and free up capacity for higher-value legal analysis.
- • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to anticipate legal needs, support product development cycles, and ensure contractual terms enable innovation without compromising compliance.
- • Exercise independent judgment under tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities with minimal oversight while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- • Contribute to team knowledge by staying current on relevant legal and regulatory developments (e.g., data privacy, financial regulations, identity verification laws) and sharing insights through training or documentation.
- • Assist in vendor and procurement negotiations, helping to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong supplier relationships and adherence to corporate policies.

🎯 Requirements
- • JD from a U.S. law school and active admission/in good standing in at least one U.S. state
- • Approximately 1-3 years of legal experience
- • Strong legal drafting, redlining, and research skills
- • Hands-on experience with contracting; experience with commercial, procurement, data, product, or regulatory matters preferred
- • In-house experience preferred but not required
- • Good judgment, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn quickly
- • Comfortable working independently and operating effectively without heavy oversight
- • Interest in supporting both commercial and product/regulatory legal work
- • Openness to using AI and other technology tools in day-to-day legal work
- • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- • Based in Austin or willing to relocate to Austin
- • Willingness to travel occasionally
