- • As a Nepali-English Video-Phone Interpreter at LanguageLine Solutions, you will play a vital role in breaking down language and cultural barriers for limited-English speakers and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing across critical sectors such as healthcare, government, law enforcement, and emergency services.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include responding promptly to video and audio interpreting sessions, delivering accurate interpretation in real time, maintaining professionalism during emotionally charged or high-stress calls (such as 911 or medical emergencies), and using dedicated devices to type data while interpreting via video or phone.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in Nepali and English with strong cultural competency and ability to assess regional and accent differences
- • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure high accuracy during interpretation
- • Ability to remain neutral, objective, and detached during sensitive conversations including end-of-life discussions, medical procedures, and emotionally charged situations
- • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in teaching, translation, interpretation, or language assessment preferred
- • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
- • Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check and/or drug screen if required by location
