  • • As an HR Generalist at Roots Automation, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and supporting the People operations of a fast-growing AI infrastructure company that is transforming the insurance industry through cutting-edge generative AI technology. Your work will directly enable engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to operate with speed, clarity, and impact by ensuring a seamless, compliant, and engaging employee experience across the full lifecycle.
  • • You will be responsible for end-to-end support of core HR functions, including onboarding and offboarding new hires, maintaining accurate employee records in HRIS platforms (with Rippling preferred), administering benefits, coordinating visa and immigration processes with external legal counsel or PEO providers, and ensuring ongoing compliance with U.S. employment laws and internal policies. Your day-to-day will involve managing employee data integrity, responding to HR inquiries with empathy and discretion, supporting employee relations matters, and contributing to culture-building initiatives such as recognition programs and team engagement activities.

  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in scaling HR operations within a high-growth, tech-forward environment, gaining hands-on experience with modern HRIS systems, U.S. compliance frameworks, and global mobility processes. You will have the opportunity to influence and improve HR processes, documentation, and employee experience initiatives, positioning yourself as a strategic partner in the People function while contributing to a company that is shaping the future of AI in one of the world’s largest and most critical markets.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role
  • • Experience with an HRIS (Rippling preferred; Workday or similar acceptable)
  • • Familiarity with U.S. employment law and HR compliance practices
  • • Exposure to visa/immigration processes (e.g., coordinating with legal counsel or PEOs)
  • • Strong employee relations judgment and ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
  • • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
