Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead the evolution of our global analytics capability as the strategic right-hand to the Head of Analytics, translating complex data into life-changing insights for the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.
- • Own the end-to-end resource planning for a distributed team of analysts across London, Lyon, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Singapore, ensuring every project is staffed with the right talent at the right time while balancing utilisation, growth and well-being.
- • Architect and evangelise novel analytics methodologies—think Bayesian forecasting, AI-driven patient journey mapping, or synthetic control arms—that turn standard quantitative studies into competitive differentiators and open new revenue streams.
- • Translate commercial questions into analytical roadmaps: partner with account directors to scope studies, craft persuasive proposals that quantify ROI, and defend advanced techniques (e.g., MaxDiff, TURF, conjoint, segmentation, ML uplift modelling) to senior client stakeholders.
- • Build and maintain a living catalogue of tech-enabled solutions—automated dashboards, interactive simulators, self-service insight portals—that accelerate delivery, reduce cost and create annuity-style revenue for Research Partnership.
- • Coach and mentor analysts ranging from graduate trainees to principal scientists, running monthly capability clinics, quarterly innovation sprints and an annual analytics summit that positions us as thought leaders in pharma market research.
- • Embed a culture of reproducible analytics: institute Git-based version control, peer code review, reusable R/Python packages and cloud-first infrastructure that scales from 50 to 500 studies without loss of quality or speed.
- • Serve as the analytics conscience on multi-million-dollar global brand trackers, launch readiness programmes and post-authorisation safety studies, ensuring statistical rigour, compliance with GDPR/EMA/FDA guidance and clear storytelling that drives decision-making.
- • Collaborate with data engineering and IT to evaluate, pilot and industrialise new data sources—EMR, claims, social listening, wearable biosensor feeds—transforming raw, messy data into validated, insight-ready assets.
- • Own the P&L for analytics revenue: forecast demand, set pricing strategy, negotiate SOWs and monitor gross margin, delivering double-digit growth year-on-year while maintaining 90%+ client satisfaction.
- • Present at industry conferences (ISPOR, PMRG, ESOMAR), publish white papers and host webinars that showcase our innovations, attract top talent and generate inbound leads worth £5-10 M annually.
- • Champion diversity of thought: recruit from non-traditional backgrounds (epidemiology, econometrics, behavioural science) and create an inclusive environment where every analyst feels empowered to challenge the status quo.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years’ hands-on experience designing and delivering advanced quantitative analytics in pharma, biotech or health-care consulting, including at least 3 years in a line-management capacity.
- • Expert-level proficiency in R or Python for statistical modelling, data manipulation and visualisation; demonstrable experience with Shiny, Dash or similar framework to productise insights.
- • Proven track record of converting complex analytical outputs into strategic recommendations that have directly influenced pricing, launch sequencing or lifecycle management decisions for global pharmaceutical brands.
- • Deep knowledge of at least three advanced methodologies (e.g., hierarchical Bayes, choice-based conjoint, patient flow modelling, NLP on HCP social data) and the ability to explain them to non-technical executives.
- • Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones, with a coaching style that balances autonomy and accountability; familiarity with Agile or similar iterative delivery frameworks.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote-first culture with an annual £1,500 home-office stipend and flexible working hours that let you design your day around family, fitness or further study.
- • 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays and an extra “Recharge Day” each quarter, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 additional days.
- • Comprehensive private medical, dental and vision cover for you and your dependents from day one, plus a 24/7 virtual GP service and mental-health support app.
- • Market-leading pension contribution of 10% (matched up to 7%), life assurance at 4× salary and income protection to 75% of salary for peace of mind.
