- • The Associate Director of Clinical Data Management at Biogen is a strategic and operational leader responsible for ensuring high-quality data flow, integrity, and process adherence across assigned clinical studies and programs, directly supporting the development of novel therapies for severe immune-mediated diseases.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing data quality and Data Management performance, contributing to departmental strategy and process improvements, managing staff hiring and development, serving as a point of escalation for complex issues, and driving continuous improvement through coaching, mentoring, and talent development.
- • Biogen’s West Coast Hub in South San Francisco focuses on transforming patient lives through innovative therapies, operating as a mid-sized biotech that combines corporate stability with meaningful individual impact, guided by a mission to deliver life-changing medicines while fostering inclusion and belonging.
- • In this role, you will develop leadership expertise in clinical data strategy, influence cross-functional teams without authority, mentor and grow talent, contribute to organizational initiatives, and gain experience supporting regulatory submissions and global clinical programs in a purpose-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a scientific discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, IT, Biology, or Social Science
- • 12+ years of relevant work experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry with a focus on Clinical Data Management
- • In-depth understanding of drug development and the biopharmaceutical industry
- • Subject matter expertise in Clinical Data Management processes, quality management, and data standards development
- • Robust technical experience with electronic data capture platforms (Medidata Rave preferred) and data review tools (Elluminate preferred)
- • Strong project management skills to lead and collaborate across business functions
- • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and establish effective relationships with external stakeholders
- • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
