- • The Associate Director/Director, Strategic Development & Advocacy is a non-sales, field-based marketing role responsible for building advocacy and support for ANI Rare Disease’s first US-based branded product by engaging national, regional, and global Thought Leaders, forming strategic partnerships with advocacy organizations, and gathering insights on disease areas and treatment landscapes to inform marketing strategy.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing Thought Leader engagement plans, tracking insights that impact the brand, serving as the primary liaison between the company and Thought Leaders, managing regional and national conventions and advisory boards, identifying and contracting Thought Leaders for consulting opportunities, supporting Speaker Bureau development, and engaging with Patient Advocacy Organizations for enterprise-wide coordination.
- • The role operates within Qodeworld (acting on behalf of ANI Pharmaceuticals), a company focused on rare disease therapeutics, where the individual will collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing Leads, Commercial Advisory Boards, and internal teams to execute promotional Speaker Programs and sponsorship initiatives while adhering to strict ethical and compliance standards.
- • The individual will develop expertise in rare disease markets, particularly Rheumatology, Nephrology, and Neurology, gain influence in shaping regional and enterprise-level marketing strategy, build high-level relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, and contribute to commercial strategy through data-driven insights and strategic initiative execution.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry with a focus on rare disease or high-science therapeutic areas
- • 5+ years of Rheumatology therapeutic area expertise (Nephrology and/or Neurology experience considered secondary preferred)
- • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- • Proven track record in developing and implementing Thought Leader strategies through compliant and engaging interactions with Key Opinion Leaders
- • Ability to travel 50–65% of the time, including evenings and weekends, to support programs, congresses, and advisory boards
