- • As the Associate Director, Health Economic Outcomes at Illumina, you will play a pivotal role in expanding global access to genomic technologies by shaping the value narrative for molecular diagnostic solutions across oncology, genetic disease, reproductive health, and emerging applications.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include supporting global market access strategies, collaborating with regional teams to secure reimbursement and payer engagement, developing evidence generation strategies (including clinical utility studies and health economic models), and building relationships with external stakeholders such as HTA bodies, payers, and advocacy groups.
- • You will partner cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Commercial teams to influence pricing, HTA submissions, and product lifecycle decisions, ensuring alignment with Illumina’s mission to improve human health through genomics.
- • This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic initiatives that directly impact patient access to life-changing genomic insights, develop expertise in health economics and outcomes research, and grow as a leader in a mission-driven, innovative organization at the forefront of precision medicine.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (GC, MBA, MPH, PhD, or related) preferred.
- • 15+ years of experience with 7+ years in management, including clinical setting, market access, reimbursement, and/or health economics, with a strong focus on molecular diagnostics.
- • Proven experience designing and implementing cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact models, and micro costing techniques to support payer negotiations and HTA submissions.
- • Demonstrated success in market access strategies within diagnostics, biopharma, or payer settings, with deep understanding of reimbursement systems and HTA processes across major markets.
- • Expertise in molecular diagnostics, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and precision medicine applications.
- • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to manage budgets, vendors, and consultants.
