📋 Description

• Associate Director of Performance Creative at Darkroom Software, Inc., a leading next-generation growth marketing firm engineering the brands of tomorrow through AI-powered creative strategy and performance-driven advertising.
• Lead high-tempo creative strategy and direction for full-funnel ad programs across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon, and Display Platforms; deliver expert advice on short-form video concepts; translate performance data into compelling ad concepts using metrics like thumb-stop rate, hold rate, and CTR; brief and collaborate with Designers and Editors on asset creation; present creative work to stakeholders and clients; monitor performance data to inform creative iterations and improve results over time.

• Develop expertise in AI-assisted creative workflows using tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, and Perplexity; lead and mentor Designers and Editors in executing paid media assets across statics, motion graphics, short-form video, and UGC content; drive creative diversity and volume (50-100+ new ads per month); gain exposure to interdisciplinary teams including Social Commerce and Paid Media; grow influence at the forefront of digital advertising innovation while building a world-class creative advertising culture.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of creative strategy work on performance ad programs with specific focus on short-form video and statics
• Digital portfolio showcasing performance ad work including short-form video, motion, and statics with evidence of impacting metrics like hold rate or CTR
• Ability to storyboard, cut, and ship ads; proficiency in Figma (including Auto Layout and Components), Photoshop, and Illustrator for hands-on design execution
• Fluency in performance metrics such as thumb-stop rate, 3-second hold, hook retention, CTR, and CPA; uses them to decide what to test next
• Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, Perplexity, Icon, or Runway to increase speed and volume; has shipped ads with AI-assisted elements
• Excellent communicator in writing and client presentations; gives crisp, actionable feedback to designers and editors; navigates client pushback effectively
