- • In this pivotal role, Associate Directors are recognized as the most critical members of the Directive team. Your influence directly impacts both client satisfaction and employee retention, with your performance having a direct and measurable effect on the company's Profit and Loss (P&L). This position demands a blend of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to fostering client success and team development.
- • **Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:**
- • **Strategic Goal Setting:** You will be directly responsible for defining and setting ambitious yet achievable goals for every client engagement within your assigned pod. This involves a deep understanding of client objectives and translating them into actionable, measurable marketing strategies.
- • **Championing Best Practices:** A core tenet of this role is ensuring that all clients under your purview adhere to Directive's industry-leading best practices across all marketing channels. This includes, but is not limited to:
- • **LTV:CAC Modeling:** Implementing and optimizing strategies that focus on maximizing Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) while minimizing Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).
- • **Customer Generation Focus:** Driving initiatives that directly contribute to acquiring new customers, aligning with our core Customer Generation methodology.
- • **Share of SERP Dominance:** Developing and executing strategies to increase and maintain a dominant presence across Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).
- • **Functional Content Development:** Overseeing the creation and deployment of content that is not only engaging but also serves a clear functional purpose in the customer journey.
- • **Breaking Down Barriers and Enabling Success:** Recognizing that campaign success often hinges on timely approvals and overcoming obstacles, you will play a crucial role in identifying and dismantling roadblocks. This involves:
- • **Proactive Roadblock Identification:** Making the identification and resolution of client-side or internal roadblocks a consistent agenda item in your 1x1 meetings with Strategists.
- • **Action Plan Development:** Collaborating with your team to establish clear, actionable plans to overcome any impediments, ensuring the smooth execution and success of client strategies.
- • **Leadership and Empowerment:** We seek leaders, not just managers. Your role is to build a strong, cohesive team structure, establish clear communication cadences, provide proactive support, and empower your Strategists through clear expectations and concise communication. This leadership style fosters an environment of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- • **Performance Metrics and Objectives:**
- • **Net Sales Margin (NSM) Attainment:** Achieve 100% of Net Sales Margin targets.
- • **Client Satisfaction (CSAT):** Maintain a Client Satisfaction score of 4.2 or higher.
- • **Bookings Growth:** Secure $150,000 in new bookings per half of the year (total across your pod for H1).
- • **Impact and Growth:** This role is instrumental in driving client success and contributing to Directive's overall growth trajectory. You will have the opportunity to mentor and develop a team of talented marketing professionals, shape client strategies at a high level, and directly influence the agency's financial performance. Your leadership will be key to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the Paid Media department and across the agency.
