đź“‹ Description
- • As an Associate Director of Paid Media at Directive Consulting, you will step into a pivotal leadership role, directly influencing client success and employee development within your assigned pod. This position is instrumental to our agency's growth and profitability, demanding a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of performance marketing principles. You will be the driving force behind achieving client objectives, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, and fostering a high-performing team environment. Your primary focus will be on client retention, employee retention, and the direct impact on our company's Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, making you one of the most critical individuals within Directive.
- • Your core responsibility will be **Goal Setting** for every client engagement under your purview. This involves translating client business objectives into measurable, actionable, and ambitious goals for paid media campaigns. You will work closely with clients and your team to define key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with their overall business strategy, ensuring that all paid media efforts are directly contributing to tangible business outcomes, such as customer acquisition and revenue growth. This proactive approach to goal setting forms the foundation for successful campaign execution and client satisfaction.
- • A significant part of your role will be ensuring adherence to **Best Practices** across all paid media channels and mediums for your clients. This includes championing Directive's proprietary Customer Generation methodology, which prioritizes the generation of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and actual customers over vanity metrics. You will be responsible for instilling and overseeing the application of advanced strategies such as LTV:CAC modeling, maximizing Share of SERP, and developing Functional Content that resonates with target audiences. Your expertise will guide strategists in implementing these best practices consistently, ensuring that every campaign is optimized for maximum return on investment and long-term client value.
- • You will play a crucial role in **Breaking Down Barriers** that impede campaign progress and client success. Recognizing that campaign approval processes can be a critical juncture, you will proactively identify and address potential roadblocks. Through regular 1x1 meetings with your Strategists, you will foster an environment where challenges can be openly discussed. You will then develop and implement action plans to overcome these obstacles, ensuring that strategies are approved and executed efficiently, thereby maintaining momentum and delivering results for clients.
- • As a leader, you will be expected to demonstrate exceptional **Accountability**. Directive seeks leaders who inspire and empower, rather than merely manage. You will be responsible for building a strong team structure, establishing clear communication cadences, and proactively supporting your team members. This involves setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, and empowering your strategists with the autonomy and resources they need to excel. Your leadership style will cultivate a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement, driving both individual and team performance.
- • You will be accountable for achieving specific **Goals** for your pod, including 100% Net Sales Margin (NSM) Attainment, maintaining a Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) score of 4.2 or higher, and achieving $150,000 in bookings for each half of the year (total across the pod for H1). These metrics underscore the significant impact of your role on the agency's financial health and client relationships.
- • This role requires a deep understanding of various paid media platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads, Social Media Advertising), advanced analytics, and the ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives. You will mentor and develop a team of talented Paid Media Strategists, fostering their growth and ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results. Your strategic vision will guide the evolution of paid media strategies for a diverse portfolio of B2B tech and SaaS clients, ensuring they remain at the forefront of performance marketing innovation.
- • You will collaborate closely with other departments, including SEO, Performance Creative, and Revenue Operations, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to client growth. Your ability to foster cross-functional collaboration will be key to delivering comprehensive solutions that drive customer generation and achieve client objectives. This role is an opportunity to make a substantial impact, shape client success, and grow your career within a dynamic and forward-thinking agency.
🎯 Requirements

- • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to mentor, manage, and inspire a team of marketing professionals.
- • Expertise in paid media platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Tableau).
- • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, derive actionable insights, and translate them into compelling client-facing narratives.
- • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines effectively.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive annual base salary range of $100,000 - $135,000 USD, with potential for bonus eligibility.

- • Generous time off policies, including Unlimited PTO (with a 2-week minimum), paid company holidays, your birthday off, and an end-of-year recharge period (December 24 - January 1).
- • Robust mental and physical wellness support, including access to certified therapists via Spring Health, Headspace membership, and Gympass benefits.
