đź“‹ Description
- • Lead and grow the product data science team at Spring Health, driving growth through experimentation, causal inference, and behavioral analysis in acquisition and activation funnels for mental health products.
- • Partner with Product, Design, and R&D teams to refine and align on the metric tree, ensuring clear, actionable KPIs that reflect member and provider experiences and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- • Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, providing 1:1s, performance feedback, career development, and clear growth paths that build both technical and product strategy skills while fostering a culture of impact and independence.
- • Design and maintain reusable experimentation and measurement frameworks, collaborate with Analytics Engineering to implement metric trees in data models, and ensure consistent, accessible KPIs across R&D to accelerate high-quality testing and learning.

- • Comfortable owning and refining a metric tree/KPI hierarchy and aligning stakeholders around shared definitions and measures of success.

- • Experience with modeling and causal inference (e.g., driver analyses, uplift/propensity models) to identify true drivers of key metrics and prioritize experiments.
- • Comfortable diving into SQL and Python to sanity-check data, review team work, and provide technical guidance.
- • Experience with a modern data stack (cloud data warehouse, dbt, BI tools like Looker) and understanding of semantic layers for consistent metrics.
- • Strong user and stakeholder empathy: ability to translate R&D challenges into data science projects that improve member access to care.
- • Humble, highly motivated, and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; view process and structure as tools to enable impact.
