- • Work with company management, private equity deal and operating teams, investment bankers, and third parties to develop equity stories and go-to-market materials for transaction preparation
- • Utilize Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot to perform granular financial, operational, and business segment analyses on complex datasets
- • Analyze, quantify, and validate deal-related assumptions including synergies, add-backs, and pro-forma financial statements to support valuation and exit planning
- • Manage and support the development and population of investor-ready data rooms for M&A transactions
- • Respond to due diligence inquiries from private equity sponsors and strategic corporate buyers during the sale process
- • Collaborate with CFOs and their finance teams to enhance financial reporting, KPI tracking, and forecasting capabilities in preparation for an exit
- • Lead or support end-to-end transaction projects including historical financial reporting, 5-year financial modeling, and identification of realized and potential value creation initiatives
- • Travel to client sites as required to support on-site transaction activities and client engagements
- • Serve as an extension of the client’s CFO office during sell-side processes, providing transaction-specific advisory and execution support
- • Develop and apply playbooks and best practices for acquisition strategies across platform companies, add-ons, and carve-outs
- • Present data-driven insights in clear, succinct, and comprehensive reports, presentations, and memos to internal teams and external stakeholders
- • Work within a lean, cross-functional team structure to manage multiple complex workstreams while maintaining focus on individual deliverables
- • Maintain the highest professional standards in client interactions, data integrity, and project execution under tight deadlines
- • Contribute to team growth by mentoring junior colleagues and sharing knowledge across transaction engagements
- • Adapt to a fluid, entrepreneurial environment with a flat organizational structure and high expectations for initiative and ownership
🎯 Requirements
- • 3 to 5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or quality of earnings
- • Proven ability to leverage Excel to manage, simplify, analyze, and present large and complex financial datasets
- • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot)
- • Strong quantitative skills and advanced financial modeling expertise, particularly in corporate valuation
- • Transactional finance experience with understanding of operational finance
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
