This position is essential to Spotify’s mission of connecting artists and fans by enabling label partners to effectively utilize Spotify’s tools and services, directly impacting how music is distributed, tracked, and monetized in the streaming ecosystem.
- • You will serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for label partners regarding rights management inquiries, including ownership claims, metadata updates, and licensing issues, requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to resolve complex partner needs efficiently and accurately.
- • You will collaborate closely with internal teams such as Product, Engineering, Legal, and Global Partnerships to advocate for partner-centric product development, ensuring that new features and tools are designed with label workflows and pain points in mind.
- • You will lead the creation and maintenance of external educational resources, including guides, FAQs, and training materials, to help label partners understand and onboard to Spotify’s rights management systems, reducing friction and increasing self-service adoption.
- • You will manage the scaled onboarding process for new label partners, coordinating cross-functional efforts to ensure smooth integration into Spotify’s platform, including documentation, system access, and initial training.
- • You will oversee technical project management for rights management-related initiatives, tracking timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across engineering and product teams to ensure timely execution of improvements and updates.
- • You will partner with global Commercial Label Partnerships leads to support strategic initiatives, including market-specific programs and global policy implementations, contributing to long-term partner satisfaction and platform stability.
- • You will operate within a fast-paced, innovative, and highly collaborative team culture at Spotify’s New York office, where data-informed decision-making and a passion for music and technology drive impact at scale.
- • This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in music industry operations, digital rights management, and platform partnerships, building a strong foundation for career growth in media, tech, or entertainment business roles within a global leader in audio streaming.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Music Business, Communications, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- • 2+ years of experience in label relations, music licensing, rights management, or partner operations within the music, media, or technology industry.
- • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders.
- • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or workstreams, with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, track progress, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- • Familiarity with music metadata, copyright, licensing frameworks, or digital rights management systems is highly preferred.
- • Proficiency in productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira, Trello) is required.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans, including mental health and wellness resources.
- • Generous paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and parental leave, supporting work-life balance and long-term well-being.
- • Equity compensation through Spotify’s employee stock program, offering ownership in the company’s success.
- • Access to Spotify’s premium subscription and other internal perks, including music-related benefits and professional development opportunities.
- • Learning and development stipend, career coaching, and internal mobility support to foster continuous growth and skill advancement.
