- • Serve as a key medical and scientific expert for the Global Medical Affairs Transplant team, contributing to the development, review, and consistency of educational content related to transplant indications and therapeutic messaging in alignment with established standards.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Clinical Development, Value & Access, Commercialization, and Affiliate Medical Affairs to support the implementation of strategic medical initiatives such as protocol review, scientific resource development, evidence generation, and internal training material creation.
- • Partner with the GMA Transplant team to plan, develop, and execute medical advisory boards to inform strategic decision-making and therapeutic area strategy.
- • Contribute to the development of the annual medical strategic plan by aligning team activities with broader Medical Affairs leadership objectives.
- • Lead or support evidence generation activities including registries, investigator-sponsored trials (ISTs), and Phase 4 studies to expand clinical knowledge and support market access.
- • Attend major scientific congresses and conferences to gather real-world clinical insights, evaluate emerging data, and produce conference coverage materials and internal training content for cross-functional teams.
- • Coordinate and implement initiatives across the GMA Transplant team in close collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective execution of medical affairs strategies.
- • Provide subject matter expertise on solid organ transplant therapeutics to ensure scientific accuracy and patient-centered messaging across all medical affairs deliverables.
- • Maintain deep scientific knowledge of transplant medicine and apply it to support the global launch of felzartamab in transplant indications.
- • Communicate complex scientific and clinical information clearly and effectively through oral presentations and written materials to internal and external audiences.
- • Exercise strong project management skills to independently drive complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with attention to detail, timelines, and regulatory compliance.
- • Ensure all activities prioritize patient, payer, and physician needs while addressing critical scientific and business challenges in a matrixed organization.
- • Support the integration of diverse perspectives into medical affairs strategies to reflect Biogen’s commitment to inclusion and the communities served by its therapies.
- • Represent Biogen’s mission to improve meaningful patient outcomes through rigorous scientific engagement and evidence-based medical strategy.
🎯 Requirements
- • PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP, or other advanced degree in the life sciences
- • Minimum five years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably within Medical Affairs; combination of clinical/research experience with pharmaceutical industry experience may be considered
- • Solid organ transplant therapeutic area expertise
- • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation abilities
- • Demonstrated ability to operate and exert influence within a highly matrixed organization
- • Solid project management skills with initiative to solve complex and challenging problems
