- • Design and maintain databases and database solutions within prescribed resource limits and company standards.
- • Participate in and contribute to all phases of systems development projects.
- • Monitor and tune database and database application performance.
- • Manage database performance and disk usage.
- • Provide support in database access methods.
- • Provide consultation support in database analysis, modeling, coding, and production problem resolution.
- • Develop maintenance, backup and recovery procedures and documentation.
- • Participate in Disaster Recovery Drills.
- • Provide Primary On-Call Support for production problems.
- • Understand and support corporate data standards.
- • Recommend and assist with new DBMS and operational standards.
- • Participate in testing and evaluations of new software and software release upgrades.
- • Support business studies, proposal teams and costing/feasibility studies.
- • Prepare system documentation.
- • Maintain metadata repositories.
- • Perform other duties as assigned.
