📋 Description

• • As the Head of People at Morpho Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our rapidly growing Decentralized Finance (DeFi) lending protocol. This pivotal role is designed for a visionary leader to scale our People function from its foundational stages to supporting a team of over 150 contributors, all while upholding the highest standards of operational excellence and establishing Morpho as the premier functioning team within the DeFi space.
• • Your primary mission will be to champion Morpho's unique culture, weaving it into the fabric of our organization through strategic hiring, comprehensive onboarding, and impactful engagement initiatives. You will ensure that every team member is empowered to thrive in our remote-first, high-performance environment, fostering a sense of belonging and maximizing individual potential.
• • You will take full ownership of the entire Talent Journey, leveraging cutting-edge data and AI-driven insights to optimize every stage. From attracting top-tier talent to fostering long-term retention, your focus will be on enabling high performers to consistently deliver their best work.
• • A key responsibility will be to recruit, develop, and manage a high-caliber People team. This team will encompass specialists in administration, recruitment, and operations, fostering a culture of clear ownership and unwavering high standards, deeply rooted in a crypto-native mindset.
• • Strategic alignment is crucial. You will work closely with leadership to ensure that hiring plans, organizational design, and people programs are seamlessly integrated with our product development and go-to-market strategies. This ensures that Morpho consistently has the right people in the right roles at the right time to drive business success.
• • You will serve as a trusted strategic partner to the executive leadership team, providing them with clear, actionable data, streamlined processes, and essential training. This empowerment will enable them to effectively scale their own teams and make well-informed, data-driven people decisions.
• • A forward-thinking approach is essential. You will design and implement robust systems, structures, and processes that are agile and adaptable to anticipate future business changes. This proactive approach will ensure graceful scaling as the company grows in volume, headcount, and the complexities of managing a global team.
• • Staying ahead of the curve, you will continuously monitor best practices within the crypto and high-growth tech sectors. You will selectively integrate these insights to enhance Morpho's resilience, efficiency, and overall effectiveness as the company evolves.
• • In your first 30 days, you will immerse yourself in Morpho's strategy, products, protocol, and organizational structure. You will conduct a thorough mapping of existing People processes, technology stack, ownership structures, and identify immediate priorities and gaps.
• • By months 4-6, you will have successfully opened new roles as needed, taken ownership of key team rituals such as 1:1s, performance reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions, and initiated active coaching to elevate performance standards across the organization. You will also have developed the People roadmap for the upcoming year, established high-bandwidth communication channels with the leadership team, and significantly raised the bar on recruitment and people operations.
• • By the end of your first year, you will have established People operations that are reliable, predictable, and harmonized across different countries, minimizing reactive firefighting. You will have enabled the business to scale effectively without hindering growth momentum, solidified Morpho's reputation as the highest-functioning team in DeFi, and become an indispensable strategic advisor to leadership on critical business decisions.
