  • • Serve as the definitive authority on FERPA, federal, state, and accreditation regulations governing learner records, ensuring 100 % compliance across all programs and safeguarding student privacy.
  • • Conduct meticulous transcript evaluations for incoming and current learners, translating prior coursework into accurate credit awards that accelerate degree completion and reduce financial burden.
  • • Build and maintain dynamic learner schedules that balance appropriate credit loads with seamless course sequencing, directly supporting retention, progression, and NCLEX success rates.
  • • Own the end-to-end graduation process: audit degree audits, verify completion of all requirements, confer degrees, and issue diplomas so every graduate crosses the finish line on time and with confidence.
  • • Continuously monitor evolving regulations from the Department of Education, state boards of nursing, and accrediting bodies; translate changes into updated policies, training materials, and system configurations within 30 days of release.
  • • Partner with Academic Affairs, Student Services, and Financial Aid to identify at-risk learners early and implement data-driven interventions that improve persistence and graduation outcomes.
  • • Maintain the integrity of the student information system (SIS) by performing regular audits, correcting anomalies, and generating ad-hoc reports that inform strategic decisions at the executive level.
  • • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion by ensuring policies and practices reflect the lived experiences of our underserved learner populations and collaborating with colleagues from similar backgrounds.
  • • Deliver white-glove customer service to learners, alumni, and external agencies via phone, email, and live chat, resolving transcript requests, enrollment verifications, and licensure documentation within one business day.
  • • Coordinate with IT to test and deploy SIS enhancements, workflow automations, and self-service portals that reduce manual tasks by at least 20 % annually.
  • • Facilitate New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) sessions in Salt Lake City twice a year, welcoming new hires, sharing best practices, and reinforcing the College’s mission to elevate education, health, and employment systems.
  • • Generate monthly dashboards for senior leadership that track key metrics—credit load optimization, graduation rates, compliance findings, and learner satisfaction—transforming raw data into actionable insights.
  • • Serve on cross-functional committees (Assessment, Compliance, Retention) to align registrar functions with institutional goals and accreditation standards.
  • • Mentor junior staff and student workers, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and mission-driven performance.
  • • Contribute to the College’s 5,000-strong alumni network by ensuring accurate alumni records, supporting continuing education verification, and celebrating graduate achievements across rural and underserved communities.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
  • • Minimum of two years of progressive experience in a registrar’s office or student records environment within an accredited higher-education institution
  • • Demonstrated mastery of FERPA, federal, state, and accreditation standards governing student records and academic policy
  • • Advanced proficiency with student information systems (SIS) and Microsoft Office; experience with automated degree-audit tools strongly preferred
