📋 Description

• As an Associate Software Engineer at GetYourGuide, you will contribute to building the systems that connect millions of travelers with unforgettable experiences, playing a key role in shaping how people discover, book, and enjoy travel around the world.
• Day to day, you will write clean, production-ready code under mentorship, take end-to-end ownership of features from design to iteration, actively use AI tooling in your workflow, collaborate with product and design teams to solve real traveler problems, and improve code quality through reviews and continuous learning.
• You will join a fast-moving, ownership-driven engineering team at GetYourGuide that values learning, iteration, and real-scale impact, where AI is already transforming how products are built and experienced.
• In this role, you will grow into a confident, full-stack contributor, deepen your expertise in scalable systems and AI-powered applications, and gain hands-on experience shipping features used by millions—laying the foundation for a remarkable early-career journey in software engineering.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, basic system and API design concepts
• Hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude, OpenAI APIs, Lovable) and building tangible projects using them
• Familiar with building and shipping software, professionally or through personal projects, internships, or open source
• Comfortable working across the stack in either backend or frontend systems
• Ownership-driven mindset: proactive in identifying improvements, communicating early, and collaborating to create better outcomes
• Deeply curious and bias for action: learns quickly, applies knowledge fast, ships, gathers feedback, and iterates
