- • The Associate Technical Information Scientific Consultant (ATISC) serves as a scientific differentiator in the BioPharma market, supporting client goals by directing them to solutions from JAX Mice, Clinical and Research Services, while providing voice of customer feedback to improve product and service offerings.
- • Day to day, the role involves responding to transactional pre- and post-purchase inquiries from Academic and BioPharma customers, delivering educational presentations virtually and in person, troubleshooting orders or experiments, liaising with internal stakeholders, and acquiring technical sales skills to support revenue generation.
- • The Jackson Laboratory is an independent, nonprofit biomedical research institution with a National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center and nearly 3,000 employees across the U.S., Japan, and China, dedicated to discovering precise genomic solutions for disease and improving human health.
- • In this role, the person will develop deep expertise in mouse models and related biomedical sciences, build technical sales and presentation skills, contribute to process improvements, and gain experience representing scientific accuracy and animal welfare on a global scale.
🎯 Requirements
- • PhD in biomedical sciences and related disciplines which use the mouse as a model organism required
- • Knowledge and expertise around iPSC cell culture, oncology, immunology, and autoimmune disease
- • Ability to understand and be naturally conversant in a customer’s scientific goals, including in-depth understanding of research methods, experimental design, troubleshooting, and data analysis
- • Exquisite attention to detail communicated verbally and in writing, with strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills
- • Ability to develop presentations and effectively convey educational information to diverse audiences in the biomedical field
- • Ease of maneuvering between multiple databases to find information, identify inconsistencies, and summarize information accurately; proficiency with Microsoft Office and customer management software
