Associate Underwriter

📋 Description

• • The Associate Underwriter role at ProAg, part of the Tokio Marine HCC group, is responsible for reviewing annual policy documents to ensure adherence to federal and company guidelines, serving as a subject matter expert for internal and external customers, and building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with agents.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing policy information for crop insurance coverage and proper rating, contacting and responding to broker inquiries, verifying rates using RMA and ProAg quoting applications, preparing quotations for agents, requesting additional documentation, approving or denying applications within authority, analyzing and researching FCIC error resolution, interpreting FCIC documents, analyzing and revising acreage reports, responding to RMA and RSO inquiries, ensuring compliance with sales closing dates, acreage reporting dates, production reporting dates, and other regulatory deadlines, cultivating internal and external relationships, serving as a resource to other departments, developing understanding of factors affecting policy rating and risk, assisting with data entry, and attending required training sessions.
