📋 Description
- • The Associate – Workforce – Healthcare role at BRG Communications LLC is an entry-level consulting position focused on supporting healthcare clients in improving workforce productivity, operational efficiency, and financial performance through data-driven analysis and benchmarking. This role matters because it directly contributes to helping hospitals and health systems optimize labor utilization, reduce costs, and enhance patient care delivery by identifying inefficiencies and recommending evidence-based improvements.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering, organizing, and analyzing workforce productivity data from sources such as payroll, HRIS, and operational metrics; assisting in benchmarking analyses comparing client performance against industry standards; supporting span of control studies and productivity education initiatives; conducting time studies and workflow observations in hospital departments to identify bottlenecks; preparing and maintaining organized work papers, files, and case materials; documenting work following established methodologies and quality control techniques; contributing to written reports, analyses, and client presentations; participating in project management activities like setting up matter folders, tracking milestones, and supporting documentation; observing client meetings with senior staff, taking notes, and engaging in debrief discussions; collaborating with team members to solve problems and improve group performance; participating in training sessions and professional development activities; and adhering to administrative requirements including time submission and expense reporting.
- • The Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) practice at BRG is led by seasoned healthcare executives, operators, and clinicians who partner with providers, payers, investors, and other stakeholders to navigate complex strategic, operational, financial, and clinical challenges. The team focuses on driving sustainable performance improvement through strategic growth design, operating model transformation, AI and digital enablement, clinical quality optimization, and revenue strategy—helping clients build resilient, future-ready healthcare enterprises.
- • In this role, the associate will develop strong analytical and consulting competencies, gain hands-on experience in healthcare operations and workforce analytics, learn to apply benchmarking methodologies and productivity improvement frameworks, and build foundational skills in data analysis, project support, and client-facing communication—positioning them for growth into more senior consulting roles within BRG’s healthcare practice.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in economics, finance, accounting, statistics, or a related field.
- • 0–2 years of prior experience in workforce productivity, benchmarking, or related consulting (internships or relevant coursework may qualify).
- • Proficiency with MS Excel and/or other analytical software such as SAS, SPSS, Stata, MS Access, or MS SQL Server.
- • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- • Willingness to travel consistently (up to 80%) depending on project requirements and client expectations.
- • Ability to submit verification of legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
