- • Lead and manage full-cycle audit engagements from planning through completion for private, public, and nonprofit clients across North America and internationally.
- • Supervise, mentor, and review the work of audit staff and senior auditors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and professional guidelines.
- • Serve as the primary client contact for audit engagements, building and maintaining strong client relationships and managing expectations throughout the audit process.
- • Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and GAAS.
- • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex accounting and audit issues, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and audit quality.
- • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for service expansion and participating in client proposals and pitches.
- • Leverage technology and data analytics tools to improve audit efficiency, accuracy, and insights across engagements.
- • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, including integrated audits for public companies, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IAS/IFRS, GAAS, and ISA standards.
- • Manage audit engagements for diverse client types including nonprofit organizations, privately held businesses, publicly traded entities, and those requiring single audits or FDOT audits.
- • Oversee audit procedures related to M&A, divestitures, and startup funding activities, ensuring proper financial reporting and disclosure.
- • Maintain proficiency in audit software including CaseWare and CCH, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- • Collaborate with a US East Coast-based team, aligning work hours with EST to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- • Operate with schedule flexibility to support work-life balance while meeting client deadlines and business needs.
- • Participate in professional development programs, including access to Becker and LinkedIn Learning resources to advance technical and leadership skills.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- • Active CPA license required
- • 5+ years of public accounting audit experience
- • Prior supervisory or management experience leading audit teams
- • Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
- • Authorized to work in the U.S.
