- • CorroHealth, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Auditing & Education Consultant to join our remote team, focusing on outpatient facilities. Our mission is to empower clients to achieve their financial health objectives through scalable solutions and deep clinical expertise across the entire reimbursement cycle. We leverage cutting-edge technology and data-driven analytics to guide our strategies and ensure accountability in reaching client goals. At CorroHealth, we are committed to fostering long-term careers by investing in our employees' professional development and personal growth, recognizing that your success is intrinsically linked to ours.
- • In this pivotal consulting role, you will be instrumental in evaluating the coding accuracy of our clients' outpatient encounters. Your primary responsibility will involve conducting thorough concurrent or retrospective reviews to assess the assignment of ICD-10, CPT, and/or HCPCS codes. You will meticulously analyze medical record documentation, validating coded data against recognized industry standards from organizations such as the AHA, CMS, AMA, AHIMA, AAPC, Coding Clinic, and CPT Assistant. This involves identifying potential root causes of coding errors and preparing comprehensive summary reports for clients, complete with specific references to support your findings.
- • Your expertise will extend to providing second-level reviews of client processes, ensuring strict adherence to legal and procedural policies and confirming the appropriateness of code assignments. You will be a key resource for clients, researching, analyzing, and responding to inquiries related to compliance, coding practices, and claim denials. Maintaining the utmost confidentiality and privacy of patient health and client information is paramount, and you will consistently uphold the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by AHIMA, adhering to all official coding guidelines, compliance practices, standards, and procedures.
- • As an integral member of the Consulting Services Team, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering impactful coding education to our clients. This educational component is vital for driving sustainable improvements in coding accuracy and compliance. You will be responsible for conducting audits as assigned, consistently meeting or exceeding productivity standards set for each record type. When client work is available, the threshold for billable productive hours is expected to be at or above 80%.
- • Preparing high-quality deliverables for clients, tailored to the specific scope of each audit, and meeting all established timelines will be a core function. You will also conduct independent quality assurance (QA) of your assigned audit results before final submission for review and approval, with a minimum accuracy expectation of 95%. Timely and accurate reporting of your work time and work products is essential for operational efficiency.
- • Collaboration and communication are key. You will interact with coworkers in an open and respectful manner, fostering a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing. Client interactions must always be professional, exhibiting excellent work performance and communication skills to effectively represent CorroHealth and support our business interests. You will proactively communicate your schedule of planned work activities, events, and sites, along with any changes, to management and appropriate staff.
- • Continuous professional development is expected. You will maintain your professional credentials and stay abreast of the latest coding, reimbursement, and compliance issues through ongoing continuing education. Periodic travel may be required as dictated by client needs. This role also encompasses other duties and responsibilities as assigned, providing flexibility and opportunity to contribute across various projects.
