📋 Description

• As an Automation AI Engineer at Leaply, you will play a pivotal role in scaling a high-growth B2C subscription business by building and evolving a unified marketing technology platform that directly drives performance, reliability, and autonomy for growth teams—turning fragmented tools into a cohesive, scalable engine for user acquisition and retention.
• You will take full ownership of five+ existing services (Hokuto, UA automation, Creo Factory, Revealbot, Creo-translate), diagnosing architectural weaknesses, improving reliability and scalability, and eliminating technical debt to ensure the platform can support 10x growth by year-end.
• You will design, develop, and maintain production-grade integrations with Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads APIs, implementing robust error handling, rate limiting, retry logic, webhook processing, and comprehensive monitoring to prevent silent failures and ensure data integrity at scale.
• You will lead the migration from client-side to server-side tracking (CAPI pattern) for Facebook and similar platforms, building testable, observable systems and enabling Growth Managers to self-serve funnel configuration without engineering dependency.
• You will eliminate manual operational workflows in tools like Airtable by automating routine tasks, empowering UA managers, designers, and growth teams to operate independently and focus on strategy rather than spreadsheet maintenance.
• You will proactively evaluate and implement emerging martech solutions before they become bottlenecks, shaping the long-term technical vision of the marketing stack and influencing product and growth priorities through data-driven architecture decisions.
• You will collaborate closely with non-technical stakeholders—UA managers, designers, and growth managers—translating business needs into technical solutions and fostering a culture of shared ownership and rapid experimentation.
• You will leverage AI as a force multiplier in your workflow, using LLMs and AI-assisted coding to accelerate development, improve code quality, and broaden your problem-solving scope while maintaining high engineering standards.
• You will operate within Skelar AS’s venture builder ecosystem, benefiting from eight specialized infrastructure teams (recruiting, finance, legal, etc.), a founder community with multiple exits, internal professional clubs, and access to training, conferences, and health insurance—all designed to accelerate your impact and growth.
• You will contribute to a mission-driven company that has already achieved positive unit economics in under two months post-launch and is positioned for 10x growth, giving you the rare opportunity to build systems that scale with real-world business success.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial backend development experience with a focus on building reliable, production-grade systems
• Expertise in Node.js and TypeScript as the primary technology stack
• Proven experience designing and maintaining API integrations with robust error handling, rate limiting, retry mechanisms, and webhook processing
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Firestore, or equivalent cloud services
• Strong systems thinking ability—capable of architecting end-to-end solutions, identifying bottlenecks, and defining technical priorities independently
• High autonomy: ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and drive execution without waiting for task definition from a product manager
• Excellent collaboration skills with non-technical stakeholders, including UA managers, designers, and growth teams
• Ownership mindset: proactive risk identification, solution-driven thinking, and constant consideration of business impact
• Habitual use of AI tools (e.g., LLMs, AI coding assistants) to enhance development speed, code quality, and strategic thinking
