- • As an Executive AVP of Alliance Performance Management at USAA, you will lead the strategic development and financial oversight of a critical product portfolio that directly drives member value and company profitability, ensuring alignment with USAA’s mission to serve the military community with integrity and excellence.
- • You will manage the full product lifecycle—from strategy and segmentation to P&L ownership, risk management, and cross-functional execution—while influencing enterprise stakeholders to deliver innovative, compliant, and member-centric solutions across alliance and internal products.
- • You will lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and USAA’s core values of honesty, integrity, loyalty, and service, while ensuring all business decisions are grounded in sound risk and compliance practices.
- • You will serve as a subject matter expert on competitive landscapes, industry benchmarks, and emerging trends, using data-driven insights to optimize product mix, prioritize innovation, and enhance member experience and retention through strategic segmentation and go-to-market execution.
- • You will partner with marketing, sales, IT, legal, and finance teams to align product positioning, develop sales enablement tools, and ensure seamless delivery across all distribution channels, while maintaining rigorous expense management and profitability targets.
- • You will report portfolio health and strategic progress to senior leadership and external partners, translating complex data into clear, actionable narratives that inform executive decision-making and drive organizational alignment.
- • You will champion a culture of innovation and agility, identifying and prioritizing new product opportunities that leverage segmentation, performance marketing, and partnership ecosystems to drive growth, satisfaction, and long-term loyalty among USAA’s members.
- • You will build and sustain a resilient, high-impact team through strategic recruiting, coaching, performance management, and development initiatives, ensuring leadership continuity and organizational capability in a dynamic financial services environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years of related experience may substitute for degree)
- • 10+ years of experience in Financial Services, P&C Insurance, or alliance management, with proven expertise in product/platform lifecycle management as a Product Management, Digital Transformation, Data Science, or Visualization leader
- • 6+ years of people leadership experience in building, managing, and developing high-performing teams
- • Deep fluency in product P&L management, member value and ROI drivers, with a track record of balancing priorities against budget and timelines while driving execution with urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
- • Expert analytical skills using diverse data sources to form and test hypotheses, build strategies, and inform product decisions
- • Demonstrated experience designing and executing end-to-end product strategy, roadmap development, and P&L ownership to achieve business goals including growth, ROI, and service excellence
- • Comprehensive knowledge of risk management best practices, including identification, mitigation, and monitoring of risks in alignment with USAA’s compliance and control frameworks
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to influence without authority across technical, cross-functional, and highly matrixed teams
