- • Serve as a subject-matter expert on evolving AI, global privacy, and security landscape, translating complex legal developments into clear, actionable guidance for legal and technical leadership.
- • Drive cross-entity collaboration to harmonize data protection standards, review legacy processes, and build scalable governance frameworks aligned with parent-company requirements following SmartRecruiters’ acquisition by SAP.
- • Develop and maintain high-impact internal and external privacy and AI collateral and FAQs to empower the Sales organization, accelerate deal cycles, and support financial and product goals.
- • Provide daily support to the Product Team on data retention, international data transfers, telecommunications, privacy in AI systems, legal basis, UX reviews, and technical and organizational measures (TOMs), including policy training and maintenance.
- • Offer specialized AI, privacy, and security expertise to support legal advocacy across Executive, Corporate, Employment, Product, and Commercial teams.
- • Lead cybersecurity legal initiatives, including implementing new regulatory frameworks, with clear milestones and measurable outcomes, and continuously improve incident response policies and playbooks.
- • Oversee end-to-end management of Data Subject Rights (DSRs), cookie consent, and the Register of Processing Activities (RoPA), particularly in an M&A context.
- • Lead the execution of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to embed privacy-by-design into the development lifecycle.
- • Exemplify SmartRecruiters’ values and foster positive collaboration across teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree
- • Admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- • Minimum 5 years of experience in data privacy, AI law, or related fields
- • Experience with GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy regulations
- • Proven ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business guidance
- • Experience working with product, engineering, and sales teams in a technology environment
