SoSafe GmbH, a leading European cybersecurity startup, is seeking an experienced AWS Data Platform Engineer to join our dynamic data team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping our data infrastructure, transforming raw data into actionable insights, and directly contributing to the growth and success of our innovative products.
• • As an AWS Data Platform Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and platform components. These components will serve as the backbone for SoSafe’s core products, advanced analytics initiatives, and cutting-edge AI projects. You will leverage your expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to implement efficient ingestion and serving workflows, utilizing tools like Airflow for orchestration and embracing event-driven patterns to ensure real-time data processing capabilities.
• • A significant aspect of your role will involve ensuring the reliability and performance of our data platform. This includes actively contributing to monitoring and alerting systems, implementing and improving CI/CD processes for data infrastructure, managing access controls, and executing infrastructure changes using Infrastructure as Code principles, specifically with Terraform. Your work will directly impact the stability and efficiency of our data operations, allowing other teams to rely on a solid data foundation.
• • You will be expected to work within an established architecture and adhere to existing standards, while also proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. This includes enhancing data quality, refining data governance practices, and elevating the overall developer experience for those interacting with our data platform. Your insights and contributions will help us evolve our data capabilities to meet the growing demands of a fast-paced cybersecurity environment.
• • Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Analytics, Product Engineering, and Machine Learning (ML) teams. Your goal will be to deliver high-quality, reliable datasets, define and maintain consistent event schemas, and establish robust data contracts that ensure data integrity and interoperability across different systems and applications.
• • Furthermore, you will provide essential support to internal teams by actively troubleshooting data pipelines, resolving complex data issues, and operationalizing new data use cases. This hands-on support ensures that our data infrastructure is not only robust but also highly responsive to the needs of the business, enabling faster decision-making and innovation.
• • To foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, you will actively participate in code reviews, engage in technical discussions, and meticulously document all solutions.
