📋 Description
- • Design, build, and secure large-scale Azure Government (GovCloud) infrastructures with mission-critical federal system support.
- • Architect cloud-native data platforms, pipelines, and analytics solutions aligned with federal compliance standards.
- • Automate cloud provisioning using Terraform, ARM, or Bicep to ensure consistent, FedRAMP-compliant environments.
- • Implement Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), least-privilege principles, encryption, and NIST-aligned security controls.
- • Apply DISA STIGs and CIS benchmarks to cloud environments and lead architecture reviews with documentation.
- • Drive FinOps initiatives to optimize cloud spending and guide engineering teams on Azure best practices.
- • Modernize legacy applications through rehosting (IaaS), replatforming (PaaS), or refactoring to leverage Azure-native services.
- • Apply the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Azure Well-Architected Framework to all architecture decisions.
- • Interface with and present technical architectures to government officials at all levels, including senior leadership.
- • Lead teams of five or more engineers and architects in delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions.
- • Ensure all cloud solutions meet U.S. federal government security, compliance, and operational requirements.
- • Maintain active Secret clearance and ensure continuous compliance with DoD and federal security protocols.
- • Travel 10–25% to support client engagements, architecture reviews, and team collaborations.
- • Work remotely from any location within the United States with a scheduled 40-hour work week.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of related cloud engineering or architecture experience, with at least 5+ years focused on Microsoft Azure
- • Active Secret clearance or higher, with ability to maintain it
- • Must possess or obtain within 90 days of hire: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) OR AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
- • Experience leading teams of 5 or more engineers or architects
- • Proven expertise in Azure, Terraform/Bicep, networking, automation, and security controls
- • Familiarity with Ansible, PowerShell DSC, and modern development tools/languages
