📋 Description

• As a Back End Development Lead at Huble Limited, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of HubSpot-based solutions for clients across marketing, sales, service, and business operations, ensuring scalable, innovative, and human-centered digital experiences.
• You will lead a small team of developers by providing technical mentorship, managing performance, allocating resources, and fostering growth, while maintaining hands-on involvement in architecture, coding, and system design to ensure technical excellence and team success.
• Huble is an Elite HubSpot Partner with a global presence, blending professionalism with a human-centric culture to deliver strategic CRM consultancy and custom solutions that elevate client sophistication and business outcomes.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and designing scalable HubSpot solutions, leading pre-sales technical discovery, translating client needs into detailed technical specifications and SOWs, conducting code reviews, driving AI adoption, managing pod structures for delivery excellence, and owning commercial KPIs and financial targets.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including solution architects, consultants, designers, and project managers to deliver end-to-end solutions involving data migrations, CRM implementations, custom UI extensions, complex workflows, website development, and API/system integrations.
• In addition to technical leadership, you will guide your team through career development, provide regular feedback, manage capacity and deadlines, and serve as the primary technical interface between developers and stakeholders.
• You will advocate for AI-driven innovation within the team to optimize internal processes and customer solutions, while staying current with HubSpot platform updates, emerging frameworks, and best practices in full-stack development.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with proven expertise in backend development
• 2+ years of team leadership or technical lead experience, including managing, mentoring, and developing technical team members
• In-depth knowledge of HubSpot’s products, APIs, and platform, with hands-on experience in custom extensions, integrations, and data migrations
• Proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, SQL, and GraphQL, along with experience using Node.js and Symfony
• Strong background in software architecture, including component-based design, microservices, state management, and performance optimization
• Experience with development tools, build systems, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to gather requirements, create technical briefs, and translate complex ideas for diverse stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of leading technical projects and teams successfully
• Ability to balance hands-on coding with people management, including providing constructive feedback and handling difficult conversations professionally
• Legal right to work and current residency in South Africa
