• • We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Engineer to become an integral part of our expanding engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling the sophisticated backend services that form the backbone of our innovative platforms. Your contributions will ensure that our clients and creators can interact and operate seamlessly, fostering efficiency and driving success.
• • This is a hands-on position that demands close collaboration with our product managers, designers, and frontend engineers. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the delivery of high-impact solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible in influencer marketing. Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and efficient technical implementations.
• • Key Responsibilities:
• • Design, develop, and maintain highly robust, scalable, and performant backend services. You will leverage Node.js and TypeScript to build the core logic and APIs that power the Kyra Platform, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
• • Implement and manage PostgreSQL databases with a focus on data integrity, security, and optimal performance. This includes designing efficient database schemas, writing optimized queries, and ensuring smooth data operations.
• • Integrate and manage queue systems, with a particular emphasis on BullMQ, to facilitate efficient asynchronous task processing. This will involve designing and implementing message queues for background jobs, notifications, and other time-consuming operations, ensuring the platform remains responsive.
• • Containerize applications using Docker. You will be responsible for creating and managing Docker images and configurations to ensure consistent development, testing, and deployment environments across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and frontend engineering, to define, design, and ship new features. Your input will be vital in translating user needs and business objectives into technical specifications and actionable development plans.
• • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable code. Adherence to best practices in coding standards and documentation will be paramount to foster collaboration and long-term project health.
• • Implement and maintain comprehensive unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and prevent regressions. You will champion a test-driven development approach where appropriate, ensuring the stability of our services.
• • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and incorporating feedback received on your own code, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
• • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the backend stack, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• • Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, helping to shape the future technical direction of the Kyra Platform.
• • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential application to enhance our platform and processes.
• • Ensure the security and compliance of backend systems, implementing best practices for data protection and access control.
• • Optimize application performance and scalability to handle increasing user loads and data volumes, ensuring a seamless experience for our global user base.
• • Develop and maintain APIs that are well-documented, efficient, and easy for frontend applications and external partners to consume.
• • Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, increasing development velocity and reducing manual errors.
• • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of our technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy for both internal teams and future engineers.
• • Proactively identify areas for improvement within the existing codebase and infrastructure, proposing and implementing solutions.
• • Engage in agile development methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure efficient project execution and team alignment.
