📋 Description

• Design and implement complex, multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and migration within production-like environments.
• Write clear, precise natural-language specifications that define coding problems and expected outcomes for AI training purposes.
• Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using industry-standard frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.
• Create reference implementations that serve as correct, executable solutions to the coding tasks you design, ensuring they meet production-grade standards.
• Review peer-generated coding tasks and submissions to evaluate correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications.
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, logical flaws, and potential failure modes in both task designs and peer submissions.
• Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code, test suites, and expected outputs to maintain training data integrity for AI systems.
• Work within large, complex codebases to simulate real-world software engineering challenges encountered in professional environments.
• Participate in code review cycles by providing structured, actionable feedback on the quality, efficiency, and maintainability of peer implementations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI training datasets by producing high-fidelity, production-realistic software engineering scenarios.
• Manage your own schedule as a part-time, project-based consultant, with flexibility to work on multiple vendor projects concurrently, subject to other employers’ policies.
• Operate remotely with full autonomy over tools and workflow; no company-provided hardware or software is provided.
• Deliver completed projects on deadline with documented artifacts including task specs, reference code, test coverage reports, and peer review summaries.
• Collaborate asynchronously with global teams to ensure consistency in task quality and alignment with AI training objectives.
• Maintain advanced written proficiency in English to author clear, unambiguous specifications and feedback for non-native English-speaking contributors.
• Engage in iterative refinement of tasks based on feedback from the AI lab team to improve task realism and evaluation reliability.
• Demonstrate consistent ability to navigate, debug, and refactor substantial codebases across multiple languages and architectures.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
