📋 Description

• Design and implement complex, multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature implementation, refactoring, and migration in production-grade software systems.
• Write clear, precise natural-language specifications that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes for AI training purposes.
• Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code behavior under realistic conditions.
• Review peer-generated coding tasks to evaluate correctness, clarity, realism, and adherence to industry best practices in software engineering.
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes in coding scenarios to ensure tasks challenge AI models appropriately and reflect real-world engineering problems.
• Ensure strict alignment between natural-language specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs to maintain consistency and reliability in AI training datasets.
• Navigate and debug large, complex codebases written in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and potentially Java, C#, or Go to understand context and constraints for task creation.
• Produce high-quality, production-realistic coding assignments that simulate actual software engineering workflows, including version control, testing, and code review practices.
• Deliver complete reference implementations that serve as accurate benchmarks for AI model performance evaluation.
• Generate structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement in code quality and design.
• Maintain rigorous attention to detail when constructing tasks to prevent misleading or ambiguous instructions that could compromise AI training effectiveness.
• Work independently on a project-based, part-time basis with full control over schedule and workflow, while ensuring timely delivery of all assigned tasks.
• Collaborate remotely with a global team of experts to contribute to the development of AI training materials for a leading AI lab.
• Utilize own tools and infrastructure to complete all work, with no provision of equipment or software provided by the company.
• Operate as an independent contractor, permitted to provide services to other vendors or employers, subject to their respective policies and restrictions.
• Deliver validation artifacts including test coverage reports, pass/fail criteria, and code quality metrics alongside each task submission.
• Adapt quickly to evolving requirements and feedback cycles from the AI lab team to refine task design and evaluation criteria.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of task quality standards by identifying patterns in AI model failures and adjusting task complexity accordingly.
• Maintain professional written proficiency in English at an advanced level to ensure all specifications, feedback, and documentation are clear, grammatically accurate, and technically precise.
• Participate in periodic feedback sessions to align on evaluation rubrics, task difficulty scales, and quality benchmarks.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
