- • Own the inference and orchestration layer that powers every AI interaction in the product, sitting between large language models and end users across mobile and desktop clients.
- • Build and operate production backend systems that serve AI-powered features with high reliability, low latency, and high throughput under real-world usage conditions.
- • Design inference pipelines, orchestration layers, and clear service boundaries around LLMs, embeddings, and multimodal models to ensure stable and scalable AI behavior.
- • Optimize latency and throughput across inference, caching, batching, and streaming mechanisms to improve user experience and system efficiency.
- • Implement and maintain production monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response systems to ensure rapid detection, diagnosis, and resolution of AI-related outages or degradation.
- • Develop and manage stable, well-documented APIs that enable seamless integration between frontend clients, ML systems, and external tools.
- • Operate systems that handle multi-step reasoning, persistent context, and real-world task completion despite non-deterministic model behavior.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate model capabilities into reliable, observable, and user-facing AI features.
- • Iterate on system performance and reliability based on real usage data, production incidents, and user feedback to continuously improve system outcomes.
- • Work with Python and Node.js to develop scalable backend services, leveraging PyTorch for model integration and deployment.
- • Deploy and manage containerized services using Docker and orchestrate them at scale with Kubernetes in production environments.
- • Integrate with external AI providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source LLMs, ensuring cost-efficient and reliable model usage.
- • Manage data persistence and retrieval using both SQL and NoSQL databases to support persistent context and long-running workflows.
- • Debug and resolve complex issues in distributed systems under high load, with a bias toward shipping and learning from real production behavior.
- • Contribute to a high-talent-density team that makes collective decisions, moves rapidly, and balances quality with speed in product development.
- • Execute independently with structure and judgment, contributing to a culture focused on building a truly magical AI product for everyday users.
