• The engineering team at Prelude is comprised of former Zenly team members who possess firsthand experience with the inherent limitations of existing authentication solutions. During their tenure building products utilized by millions, they observed the escalating costs, inherent unreliability, and pervasive vulnerability to spam and fraud associated with SMS authentication. This collective insight directly led to the inception of Prelude. Today, our dynamic team of 40+ professionals, based in the vibrant city of Paris, is dedicated to crafting products that facilitate secure, high-performance user onboarding for a diverse clientele spanning Europe and the United States. • As a Backend Engineer (Go), you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and scaling the core infrastructure that powers Prelude's innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass building and enhancing our distributed systems, leveraging technologies such as Go, DynamoDB, SQS, Redshift, and Lambdas. You will contribute to the development of a responsive full-stack application utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, including Next.js on Vercel and gRPC. A significant part of your role will involve working on the evolution of the Prelude API, with the objective of establishing it as an industry benchmark for usability, performance, and comprehensive functionality. You will be instrumental in ensuring our services are not only scalable and extensible but also exceptionally reliable and performant under demanding conditions. Furthermore, you will assist in the deployment and scaling of our advanced fraud prevention model, extending its reach to hundreds of enterprise-level customers. The role also includes developing and maintaining internal tools designed to boost developer efficiency and streamline workflows. You will engage directly with clients on a regular basis, providing support and collaborating to build features that precisely address their evolving needs. Finally, you will participate in on-call rotations, ensuring the continuous stability and unwavering reliability of our critical APIs.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and engineering large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go programming language; experience with Rust, TypeScript, or similar languages is a significant advantage.
• A product-led mindset with a focus on delivering impactful outcomes and a preference for simplicity and scalability in system design.
• Fluent or professional command of the English language, essential for effective communication within our international team.
