- • As a Backend Engineer on the OASIS team at Spotify, you will build and maintain the systems that power promotional content delivery within Discovery Mode, enabling artists and labels to grow their audience while preserving a high-quality listener experience.
- • You will design, develop, and operate scalable backend services that intelligently allocate promotional content by balancing complex, competing objectives across Spotify’s music ecosystem, working closely with the Personalization (PZN) team to serve high-quality promotion signals.
- • You will join a small, distributed, and highly collaborative team of engineers focused on data and machine learning, owning a critical piece of infrastructure that supports artist promotion at scale.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in large-scale backend systems, machine learning infrastructure, and data-driven optimization, contributing directly to how music is discovered and promoted on one of the world’s largest streaming platforms.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong backend engineering experience with proficiency in JVM languages (Java, Scala) or similar
- • Experience designing and operating scalable, distributed systems
- • Familiarity with data processing frameworks and machine learning infrastructure
- • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, distributed team environment
