Backend Engineer (Node.js / AWS) - Production Systems & Incremental Delivery

• • This is not a typical backend role; we seek engineers who can work on real production systems where understanding context matters more than writing code quickly.
• • You will work on existing systems, reading and analyzing code as a central part of your job, implementing small and safe changes, validating impact before scaling, and collaborating closely with other engineers in technical decisions and problem-solving.
• • The team values incremental delivery, shared code responsibility, and continuous improvement through practices like pair programming, TDD, and refactoring, operating in an environment where requirements are not always fully defined and quality is the engineer’s direct responsibility.
• • In this role, you will learn to evolve complex systems safely, improve your ability to make careful technical decisions in ambiguous scenarios, and grow as a collaborative engineer who prioritizes system stability and incremental value over perfect upfront design.
