📋 Description

• As a Backend Engineer at Vidrush Inc., you will play a critical role in building and scaling the serverless infrastructure that powers an AI-native video generation platform, enabling creators to transform ideas into professional videos in under an hour—your work directly impacts the reliability, performance, and scalability of a product redefining how video content is made.
• You will own backend features from initial API design through deployment and monitoring, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code that supports complex workflows involving AI agents, video rendering pipelines, and billing systems, all while collaborating with a small, ambitious team focused on technical excellence and rapid iteration.
• Vidrush is a fast-moving, AI-driven startup based in the United Kingdom, building category-defining creator tools with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, architectural discipline, and pragmatic engineering—your contributions will shape the foundational systems that allow non-technical users to produce studio-quality video through simple intent-driven interactions.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in serverless architectures on AWS, gain hands-on experience integrating with cutting-edge AI APIs and payment systems like Stripe, and refine your skills in TypeScript-based backend development, testing practices, and scalable design patterns—positioning you at the forefront of AI-powered product engineering.
• You will solve technically rich problems involving asynchronous video generation workflows, real-time data flows between AI agents, and resilient service orchestration, while advocating for and implementing best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD that ensure long-term system health and team velocity.
• By shaping service boundaries, designing resilient APIs, and contributing to architectural decisions, you will help establish engineering standards that balance innovation with stability, directly influencing how quickly Vidrush can scale its platform to serve growing creator and media team demand.
• You will work in an environment that values ownership and curiosity, where your interest in AI is not just welcomed but actively encouraged—you’ll have opportunities to experiment with LLMs, agentic frameworks, and AI-accelerated development tools to enhance both product capabilities and your own effectiveness as an engineer.

🎯 Requirements

• 2–7 years of professional backend engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
• Hands-on experience with AWS in a serverless context
• Solid experience with MongoDB or other document databases
• Experience with Stripe or similar payment/billing platforms
• Familiarity with serverless frameworks (e.g., SST, Serverless Framework)
