• Vidrush Inc. is revolutionizing video production by leveraging AI to create a seamless experience for creators. Our innovative platform transforms a simple idea into a fully produced, long-form video in under an hour, encompassing research, scriptwriting, voiceover, visuals, motion graphics, and rendering. This approach eliminates traditional production timelines and editing complexities, allowing users to move directly from concept to finished video. We are building a fundamentally new method of video creation that prioritizes an intuitive, writing-like process over intricate editing, and we are experiencing significant adoption from both individual creators and professional media teams.
• As a Backend Engineer specializing in TypeScript/React and AWS Cloud with a focus on serverless architecture, you will play a pivotal role in constructing and scaling the robust infrastructure that underpins Vidrush's advanced video generation capabilities. Your primary responsibilities will involve developing and deploying backend features from the ground up, encompassing API design, implementation, and seamless integration into our production environment. You will tackle complex challenges spanning the entire video generation pipeline, including the integration of sophisticated AI models, the management of intricate billing systems, and the optimization of resource-intensive rendering processes. A key aspect of your role will be to actively contribute to shaping the architectural direction of the services that drive our core product workflows, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of high-quality software development, contributing to a codebase that is meticulously designed for long-term maintainability and ease of evolution. This involves adhering to best practices in code structure, documentation, and testing. Collaboration will be central to your success; you will work closely with a talented team of engineers, product managers, and designers, participating actively in technical decision-making processes, conducting thorough code reviews to uphold quality standards, and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to refine our development methodologies and product offerings.

🎯 Requirements

• 2–7 years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS in a serverless context.
• Solid experience with MongoDB or other document databases.
• Experience with Stripe or similar payment/billing platforms.
• Familiarity with serverless frameworks (e.g., SST, Serverless Framework).
• Experience writing unit and integration tests with Jest or similar.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and middleware patterns.
• Comfortable with Git workflows, CI/CD, and code quality tooling.
• Strong emphasis on real-world AWS depth, cloud architecture, serverless systems, infrastructure patterns, and hands-on startup experience in production environments.
• SST / Serverless Framework experience is a strong plus.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, CDK, Terraform) is a nice-to-have.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging patterns is a nice-to-have.
• Background in layered architecture patterns (Clean Architecture, hexagonal, ports & adapters) is a nice-to-have.
• Experience with modern web frameworks like Hono is a nice-to-have.
• Interest in AI/LLM technologies and experience integrating with AI APIs is a nice-to-have.
• Familiarity with agentic AI systems and frameworks like Mastra is a nice-to-have.
