• As a Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling the robust infrastructure that powers Vidrush. Your primary focus will be on developing and enhancing our TypeScript/Node.js serverless backend, where a commitment to code quality and thoughtful architectural design are paramount. You will be instrumental in taking backend features from initial API design through to successful deployment, ensuring a high standard of execution at every stage.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve tackling complex and engaging challenges across various critical areas of the platform. This includes optimizing video generation pipelines to ensure efficiency and scalability, seamlessly integrating advanced AI models to enhance our creative capabilities, and developing secure and reliable billing systems to support our growing user base. You will also have the opportunity to significantly influence the architectural direction of the services that underpin our core product workflows, contributing to a scalable and resilient system.
• A key aspect of this role is contributing to a codebase that is meticulously crafted with long-term maintainability as a top priority. 🎯 Requirements

• 2–7 years of professional backend engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
• Hands-on experience with AWS in a serverless context
• Solid experience with MongoDB or other document databases
• Experience with Stripe or similar payment/billing platforms
• Familiarity with serverless frameworks (e.g., SST, Serverless Framework)
• Experience writing unit and integration tests with Jest or similar
• Understanding of RESTful API design and middleware patterns
• Comfortable with Git workflows, CI/CD, and code quality tooling
• Specialization in NoSQL database design, document modeling, performance, and strong real-world MongoDB experience.
• Nice to Have: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, CDK, Terraform)
• Nice to Have: Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging patterns
• Nice to Have: Background in layered architecture patterns (Clean Architecture, hexagonal, ports & adapters)
• Nice to Have: Experience with modern web frameworks like Hono
• Nice to Have: Interest in AI/LLM technologies and experience integrating with AI APIs
• Nice to Have: Familiarity with agentic AI systems and frameworks like Mastra
