- • As a Backend Golang Developer at Proofpoint, you will design and implement scalable microservices that power core cybersecurity products, directly contributing to the protection of people, data, and AI agents across email, cloud, and collaboration tools used by Fortune 100 companies and millions of organizations worldwide.
- • Day to day, you will develop and maintain production-grade Go-based microservices, contribute to API design and service-to-service communication, debug distributed systems issues, write clean and well-tested code, and collaborate closely with product and infrastructure engineers to deliver resilient, high-performance backend systems.
- • You will join Proofpoint’s global engineering team, a leader in human- and agent-centric cybersecurity, guided by BRAVE values (Bold, Responsive, Accountable, Visionary, Exceptional), where innovation is driven by solving real-world security challenges at scale.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Go, microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and distributed systems while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, production environment—building skills that advance your career in backend engineering and cybersecurity technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or related field
- • Experience with Go or strong willingness to learn it quickly
- • Understanding of backend fundamentals (APIs, databases, concurrency, networking)
- • Familiarity with microservices architecture or distributed systems concepts
- • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- • Proactive mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
