• We are seeking experienced Backend Software Engineers to contribute to our cutting-edge technology platform. You will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and enhancing the robust systems that power our global operations, serving millions of users across numerous cities and countries.
• Your role will involve collaborating closely with principal engineers on the strategic planning of developments and the design of scalable, resilient architectures. You will be a key player in building and maintaining distributed, clean, testable, and data-oriented applications that form the backbone of our services.
• A significant aspect of this role includes taking ownership of your code from development through to production. You will leverage our self-service continuous delivery pipeline and production infrastructure to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.
• You will be tasked with improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of our existing services, ensuring they can handle increasing demand and complexity.
• Diving deep into host-level problem-solving will be a crucial part of your responsibilities. You will contribute to enhancing our detection methods and proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal system performance.
• You will play a vital role in nurturing and upholding our engineering culture. This includes championing quality through rigorous peer-reviews, implementing effective monitoring strategies, and adhering to on-call best practices to ensure system stability.
• A key responsibility will be to mentor and guide junior developers, fostering their growth and development within the team and contributing to a collaborative learning environment.
• You will work closely with our Data Science team, collaborating on the development of data-oriented features and ensuring seamless integration of data-driven insights into our product.
• We believe in the power of diverse skill sets and encourage engineers with experience in various backend technologies to apply. While our day-to-day work often involves Go, Elixir, or Ruby, we value adaptability and a proven ability to learn new programming languages quickly. If you have a strong foundation in backend development, even with different languages, you can thrive here.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in developing medium/large-scale web applications and distributed systems in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of common algorithms, data structures, and design/architectural patterns.
• Adaptability and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new programming languages and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
