📋 Description

• • As a Backend Software Engineer (Data & Platform) at KinaTrax, you will design and build the core systems that power the company's data platform, focusing on ingesting, processing, and serving large-scale biomechanical and motion capture data to support professional and collegiate sports teams.
• • Day to day, you will design and implement scalable backend services, architect and optimize database systems for high-volume time-series and relational data, build and maintain performant RESTful APIs, optimize data pipelines for throughput and latency, improve system reliability and observability, develop data storage and retention strategies, collaborate with frontend and product teams on data visualization tools, contribute to infrastructure decisions including cloud architecture and deployment pipelines, and integrate hardware/software interfaces for motion capture systems.
• • KinaTrax is a market leader in markerless motion capture technology, deploying camera systems in over 50 stadiums and labs across MLB, MiLB, and NCAA organizations, providing research-grade biomechanical data that informs daily decisions by players, coaches, GMs, trainers, and medical staff.
