📋 Description

• As a Backend Team Lead at Skelar AS, you will lead and grow a team of backend developers while actively contributing to technical work in a venture-builder environment that creates consumer businesses in EdTech, Mental Health, Petcare, FashionTech, and more.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading and coordinating the backend team, participating in hands-on development, hiring and onboarding engineers, collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring high code quality and best practices, working with cross-functional teams to optimize system interactions, and driving the adoption of AI approaches in team processes and product solutions.
• Skelar AS is a venture-builder that builds companies from zero to one, providing founders with operational support through the SKELAR Platform, which includes Legal, Finance, HR, Admin, Talent Acquisition, and other shared services. The company’s tech products have earned recognition from Product Hunt and The Webby Awards and are used by over 10 million people worldwide.
• In this role, you will develop leadership expertise, deepen your technical skills in PHP (Symfony) and Go, influence system architecture and code quality, drive AI integration in development workflows, and make a tangible impact through Skelar’s social initiatives, including the Veteran Venture accelerator and Ukraine support programs.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role within development teams with strong people management, team leadership, and communication skills.
• 5+ years of commercial backend development experience.
• Hands-on experience with PHP (Symfony) and/or Go, or a strong motivation to work with this stack.
• Knowledge of SOLID, DDD, Microservices, Layered Architecture, GoF patterns, and Clean Code.
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
• Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ).
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes.
