  • • Operate replay and coach’s video review systems during live WNBA home games, ensuring seamless technology performance in real time.
  • • Execute full setup of replay equipment prior to tipoff, including hardware configuration, signal routing, and system calibration per standard procedures.
  • • Conduct pre-match system checks to verify functionality of all replay components, including cameras, servers, and communication links.
  • • Monitor and control live video feeds during games to support on-court officials with accurate, timely video reviews.
  • • Respond swiftly to technical issues during live play, troubleshooting signal loss, latency, or system failures under high-pressure conditions.
  • • Maintain accurate logs of all video reviews conducted during games, including timestamps, outcomes, and system performance notes.
  • • Collaborate with on-site officials, broadcasters, and remote Hawk-Eye staff to coordinate replay requests and ensure compliance with league protocols.
  • • Perform post-game breakdown and secure storage of all replay equipment, ensuring inventory integrity and readiness for next game.
  • • Assist in the ongoing maintenance, repair, and calibration of hardware and software systems throughout the season.
  • • Participate in off-season activities including equipment building, system upgrades, and testing of new products and services.
  • • Install and test new technology deployments as part of continuous innovation initiatives within the sports officiating ecosystem.
  • • Work exclusively on game days, with shifts beginning four hours before tipoff and concluding after post-game equipment breakdown.
  • • Adhere to strict schedules across weekends and federal holidays, as WNBA games occur on non-traditional workdays.
  • • Maintain professional communication with clients, broadcasters, and internal teams in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment.
  • • Demonstrate proactive problem-solving and independent initiative while operating complex broadcast technology with minimal supervision.
  • • Apply analytical skills to interpret video data and ensure precise, rule-compliant replay decisions are supported by system output.
  • • Contribute to a culture of innovation by providing feedback on system performance and suggesting operational improvements.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Strong technical grounding with experience operating live video replay or broadcast systems
  • • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in high-pressure, live-event environments
  • • Experience liaising with clients, officials, or technical teams in professional sports or broadcast settings
  • • Willingness and availability to work all WNBA home games, including weekends and federal holidays
  • • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • • Broadcast or engineering background with understanding of signal flow preferred
