  • • Agile Defense is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Battle Officer I to join our team at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. This critical role involves providing 24/7 technical oversight for a complex Global Cyber Operations Center, directly supporting the Army’s CONUS and OCONUS Theaters. You will be at the forefront of ensuring the availability, integrity, and performance of vital cyber operations, playing a key role in safeguarding national interests.
  • • As a Battle Officer I, your primary responsibility will be to maintain constant situational awareness of all network operations. This includes proactively monitoring a diverse array of cyber assets utilizing multiple sophisticated toolsets to guarantee the continuous availability of the Army’s CONUS network. Your vigilance will be essential in identifying and responding to any issues or anomalies that arise within the network.
  • • You will be instrumental in tracking customer impact and ensuring the swift resolution of IT incidents. This involves making sound, decisive judgments regarding cyber operations, service delivery, and incident response protocols. You will facilitate the resolution of critical events, ensuring minimal disruption to essential Army missions.
  • • A core aspect of this role is ensuring that a comprehensive situational understanding is achieved at all times. This understanding is crucial for the proper prioritization of IT incidents, ensuring that appropriate resources are effectively assigned to expedite incident resolution, and accurately assessing the operational impact of any events.
  • • You will be responsible for monitoring, approving, and managing Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI) for the CONUS Network. This requires meticulous planning and coordination to minimize disruption while ensuring necessary maintenance and upgrades are performed effectively.
  • • Accurate and timely reporting is paramount. You will be responsible for providing clear and concise reporting to GCC senior leaders and higher headquarters, ensuring they are kept fully informed of network status, incidents, and resolutions. This includes reviewing Commander’s Critical Information Reports (CCIR) for technical accuracy before their distribution to the CONUS Theater.
  • • Prompt incident response and strict adherence to organizational processes and service level targets (SLT) are non-negotiable. You will be expected to act swiftly and decisively when alerts are triggered, exercising personnel call-out procedures to react to events requiring emergency response.
  • • As a subject matter expert in the cyber environment, you will be expected to possess an in-depth understanding of relevant policies and procedures. You must remain acutely aware of any changes within the operational environment and adapt your approach accordingly.
  • • In addition to your core duties, you will serve as the senior contract team member after core duty hours. In this capacity, you will be empowered to make critical decisions on behalf of senior leadership in their absence, demonstrating leadership and accountability.
  • • This role demands a commitment to continuous operation, requiring availability for shift work, including weekends and holidays. The dynamic nature of cyber operations necessitates a flexible and dedicated approach to ensure round-the-clock support.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Active in scope Secret Clearance
  • • High School Diploma + 1 year of experience OR Associate's Degree + 4 years of experience
  • • Minimum of 1 year of experience in military operations (e.g., NETOPS/G3/S3/S6/TOC/JOC/SOC)
  • • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • • Understanding of ITIL incident management process
