- • This role is a Bearing Application Engineer position with a Swiss industrial engineering company, focusing on spherical plain bearing projects for demanding industries such as aerospace, railway, and industrial manufacturing. The role is critical in ensuring product performance, technical validation, and customer satisfaction through expert engineering support.
- • Day to day, the engineer will review customer applications, propose technical solutions, support sales and product teams with technical guidance, resolve application-related issues, prepare technical presentations, validate product designs through testing, approve new designs for manufacturing, and coordinate projects across internal and external stakeholders, including occasional customer travel (10–20% of time).
- • The team operates from a production site in Delémont, Switzerland, within a well-established industrial engineering company that emphasizes technical excellence, continuous improvement, and strong engineering team development across application, quality, and production functions.
- • The person in this role will deepen expertise in bearing design and application engineering, gain experience in high-precision industrial sectors, lead technical validation processes, influence product development from concept to production, and build strong customer-facing technical consulting skills while working in a precision-driven, innovation-focused environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- • 5–10 years of experience in bearing design and bearing applications
- • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, technical drawings, and product validation
- • Experience providing technical support to customers or internal commercial teams
- • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- • Experience in aerospace, aeronautics, railway, or industrial manufacturing sectors
